While Kanye West has been tearing down Deadmau5 in a Twitter feud for the ages, he also took to the social media platform to reveal some more substantial news, saying that he promised President Obama that he would produce tracks on Nas’ next album.

Kanye West and the Nas recently linked on French Montana’s track ‘Figure It Out’, with the video for the mixtape single set to drop soon. Instagram tells us that both artist were on set for the shoot, and West now claims that he’s made a promise to the POTUS that his beats will be on the next Nas album. The NYC GOAT hasn’t released an album since 2012, so he’s overdue for a new full-length – and there’s going to be undeniable hype behind the project thanks to West’s latest revelation.

No matter what you think of Kanye West, his production prowess is undeniable – from his vintage soul sampling to more abrasive recent work, he’s been delivering hip-hop masterpieces and setting sonic trends in the rap game for years. We don’t know how President Obama got thrown into the mix, but if it’s true, it sounds like a legendary backstory.

Keep an eye out for the ‘Figure It Out’ online in the near future, while it was also just announced that President Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama will both be keynote speakers at this year’s SXSW festival.
