Feeling a little indulgent?

No matter how cold it is, or how full you are, everybody has a dessert compartment in their stomach that’s open at all time.

There’s nothing quite like overeating and collapsing onto your couch and feeling like a worthless pile of shit – that’s why we’ve collected five eateries in Sydney where you can get the most indulgent, OTT desserts that’ll put you past a food coma. Try some out this weekend, unbutton them jeans and just bathe in the sweetness:

SPEEDO’S CAFE

Conveniently located in the bustling North Bondi, Speedo’s offers plenty of healthy and green options for the #activewear enthusiasts that populate the 2026 – but we’re more concerned with the chocolate overdoses that are available for dessert. Donuts, cronuts and macarons are doused in more toppings than you can handle, and if this video below doesn’t mesmerise you, you’re probably not a human. It’s food porn aplenty, so eat a single leaf of kale in true Bondi fashion before making those serious gains on dessert.

MILKY LANE BONDI

A new entrant on the Bondi eatery scene, Milky Lane had built a considerable following on social media before they even opened their doors last month – and they’ve been seeing full houses ever since. We were there to shoot their opening night, where we tasted some of their burgers first hand – but they claim that it’s the CoNuts which have been the real hit, with 100 flying out of the door each and every night – including a new all-American apple pie creation. Their monster shakes also come with the crucial option of adding alcohol, so get turnt and indulgent at the same time.

GOOD TIMES ICE CREAM

Mmmm YUM!! PIE ‘O’ MY Roast Pumpkin Ice Cream, Ginger Nut Cookie, Caramel Choc Dip and finished with a Licorice Rim Job

Two things about the picture above: 1) We’re more used to seeing roast pumpkin next to a slab of lamb, but we’re keen to give it a shot. 2) We’ve never experienced a ‘licorice rim job’ before, but we’re also keen to give it a shot. Pause. Their homemade churros are a no-brainer, but will you go with butterscotch or hot fudge sauce? A question that has plagued mankind since the dawn of time. Their Nutella soft serve is also something that just can’t be faulted.

N2 EXTREME GELATO

You know that something is going to be phenomenal when it has ‘extreme’ in its name. Even if you fucking sucked at science in high school, you’ll be able to appreciate the desserts that are created right in front of your eyes, complete with clouds of smoke and lab coats on all of the employees. As we’re currently celebrating Vivid Sydney, N2 have teamed up with Black Star Pastry – the legends behind the watermelon cake – and The Little Marionette for the ultimate dessert burger which you can see below. Get it in our stomachs ASAP.

AQUA S

Tucked away conveniently in a little shopping centre just behind KFC in Town Hall – cop a spicy three-piece feed beforehand – Aqua S takes their soft serve game to a fantasyland with their magical pastel creations. A rotating menu sees their ice cream take on summer flavours like grape, peach and kiwi as well as more unorthodox flavours like tomato and sea salt, while you can also adorn your cone of choice with a crown of fairy floss, popcorn, toasted marshmallows and more.
