Last time I went to Wollongong I spotted Wendell Sailor and had an excellent fish burger from His Boy Elroy. I’ve had plenty of fond memories on the South Coast city, and that’s set to continue with this year’s edition of Yours & Owls festival.

Taking place over October 1st & 2nd at the beachside location of Stuart Park, Yours & Owls is bringing indie, rap and dance aplenty with their lineup of local stars sprinkled with some international flavour. Tkay Maidza – who recently collaborated with Martin Solveig and earned herself a huge BET Awards nomination – is an obivous highlight, sitting well alongside the likes of Elefant Traks beat legends Hermitude and formidable spitter Remi.

Kilter & KLP bring some electronica flavour, while on the guitar-driven side of things, the unstoppable DMA’s will also be performing. Our good pals in Skegss have also been billed, and you know what that means – plenty of beers and a special appearance by Egyptian tour management mogul Aaron Girgis, which we think is worth the price of admission alone! Oh yeah, these legends called The Living End are playing – the guys who introduced you to the double bass and studded belts – and we can’t wait to sing ‘Prisoner of Society‘ along with about a million other ladies and gentlemen.
