Childish Gambino has just revealed some grand plans for September through his PHAROS Earth App, announcing the premiere of his next album with three shows in California.

As reported by The Fader, the PHAROS Earth App featured a countdown which eventually led to the display of three dates at Joshua Tree – a national park in Southern California – which also promises “new music” and a “full album experience.” This will be his first album since 2013’s Because The Internet, and if you want to be one of those hearing the record in full, you can purchase tickets to the Joshua Tree gigs via the PHAROS Earth App from June 24.

Curiously enough, the news arrives just one day before Listen Out reveal their 2016 lineup, with Gambino being one of the event’s headliners last year. With the Joshua Tree gigs taking place just a few weeks before Listen Out kicks off its national run in late September, we’ve got to wonder if Childish Gambino will be returning to Listen Out this year with a new album under his belt. We can only pray! Stay tuned to LWA for the Listen Out lineup to drop tomorrow morning.

In the meantime, prepare to be hearing a lot more from Gambino in the coming months:
