As the name suggests, this book is a celebration of butts in all of their glory, with New York photographer Kava Gorna profiling 100 cheeks of all shapes and sizes with her lens. Moreover, the book is about the empowering nature of denim, and how women choose to wear their vintage jeans in a countless number of ways.

A statement by Thessaly La Force says that the book is “a collection of beautiful women—best friends, confidants, collaborators, and peers who are all part of Kava’s world in one way or another. Some are Kava’s closest, oldest friends. Others have drifted through her life and past her lens only a handful of occasions.”

More succinctly, she also says that this is “a book about butts. Beautiful butts. Butts large and small, but all of them are, as Kava and I took to saying with a little giggle as we looked through the proofs, epic booties.”
