For the past seven years, OVO Fest has been Drake’s way of paying homage to his hometown of Toronto, and 2016 might just be the biggest year yet: Kanye West & Drake have announced a joint collaborative album at the colossal gig.

We thought that OVO Fest peaked in 2013 when Drake brought out Puff Daddy, but this year’s guests included Rihanna, Popcaan, French Montana and Kanye West, right after he joined Drizzy onstage in his hometown of Chicago a few nights earlier. While the two performed their Views collaboration ‘Pop Style’, Complex is reporting that Yeezus also announced a joint album onstage:

If this eventuates, the joint album just might break the Internet and the entire music industry at large – because no matter what you think about the two, they’ve consistently been rap’s most polarising heavyweights over the past decade. Let’s just pray to The 6 God that it features some tracks that bang harder than ‘Pop Style’ and it’s mediocre Jay Z feature. The project comes after Drake’s collaborative What A Time To Be Alive mixtape with Future, while he’s also set to drop an extensive joint project with Gucci Mane – who just collaborated with West himself on the G.O.O.D Music cut ‘Champions’.

This will be large. Stay tuned for the joint album and an extensive merchandise range that people will queue up to six hours for:
