However, the two bands aren’t only spending a tonne of time on the road, but it seems like there’s going to be some shared studio time, too! Dune Rats took to Facebook to reveal that they’re “havin a crack” at writing some music with DZ Deathrays, and we can only imagine that the end results will be filled with headbanging goodness and balls-to-the-wall riffs.
Both bands have already blessed us with new videos in 2016. Dune Rats got loose in ‘Bullshit’ with beers, bikes, vomiting and watermelon aplenty at a backyard party in Byron Bay. Meanwhile, DZ Deathrays championed Satan and DIY bongs in ‘Blood On My Leather’.
While it seems like the collaboration is in its very early stages, we can’t help but get excited at the prospect of this track – especially seeing how both bands destroyed The Enmore Theatre back in May. Following the International Disaster tour, Dune Rats & DZ Deathrays will both be performing at Beyond The Valley, so we can only hope for a live performance of the potential collaboration when the festival hits this December.
