After stunning the world and sweating it out with her Flashdance-inspired moves in Kanye West’s video for ‘Fade’, Teyana Taylor is back to grace the cover of Paper Magazine in all of her fierce glory.

Having been signed to West’s G.O.O.D Music imprint and featuring on his modern classics like ‘Dark Fantasy’, it’s no surprise that Taylor was tapped for ‘Fade’ – a song and video which she says “was more than just dancing in a sports bra and a thong.” With a nine-month-old daughter who also appears in the shoot, Taylor says that the video is proof that artists can balance motherhood along with a professional career. “You can be superwoman. You can have it all, that balance in your relationship, your family and your career. It’s the opposite of the cliché that says kids will slow you or your career down.”

Alongside her longstanding relationship with Yeezus, the article traces Taylor’s roots in Harlem and nine-year journey in the entertainment industry, beginning with a signing to Pharrell’s Star Trak entertainment. The photoshoot by Albert Watson sees Taylor look powerful, motherly and with a mouthful of diamonds – see it below and read the entire piece over at Paper Magazine:
