After playing the largest stadiums that the country has to offer, SOPHIE will be downsizing for a sweaty mid-week show at Hudson Ballroom’s infamous downstairs den. The intimacy ensures that this will be an absolute belter, with SOPHIE bringing his catalogue to the smoke-filled venue come Thursday, December 8. Ditch the late night shopping and see one of today’s most promising producers in action – we’ve had exactly a year to soak in the experimental greatness that was his debut album PRODUCT – and you’ll see why he’s received co-signs from the biggest names in electronica.
Given his preference for erratic tempos and wonderfully weird bleeps and bloops, it’s no surprise that Sidechains are presenting the headline SOPHIE show – the Sydney crew who have been pushing the boundaries of beat-based music nationwide for the past few years. A label, management team, events curator and FBi Radio show, Sidechains have started their own movement to shine light on more niche avenues of the underground – sharing the stage with Yung Lean and Keith Ape as well as collaborations with promoter heavyweights like Astral People and BBE.
