It has been a while since we have seen a music video from “Weird Al” Yankovic however, today the king of parody for the last 30 years has released the first of eight and will drop a hit each consecutive day from his fourteenth album, Mandatory Fun.

With a number of knock backs from artists and labels over the years (see the list here) Weird Al has orchestrated more major acts than goals Germany scored over Brazil at this years World Cup including Pharrell Williams’s “Happy”, Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines”, Lorde’s “Royals,” and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy.”

My last album, which came out three years ago, I had a video for every single song, and they all came out at once. And nobody said to Beyoncé, “Hey, you’re doing a Weird Al, aren’t ya?” So for the record, I was first. – Weird Al.
