Ed Sheeran broke Australian attendance records when he last toured in 2015, and guess what? His 2018 tour is going to be even bigger.
Sheeran has announced that he will be returning Down Under in support of his third album titled ÷ (pronounced Divide) which recently hit #1 on the ARIA charts. Moreover, lead singles ‘Shape Of You’ and ‘Castle On The Hill’ debuted at #1 and #2, marking the first time this feat has ever been accomplished in ARIA chart history. ‘Shape Of You’ has even earned a remix with Splendour In The Grass visitor Stormzy, and also recently surpassed one billion view on YouTube.
Now, Sheeran will hit the country’s biggest stadiums for his March 2018 tour, which will again see him hit the stage solo and completely unaccompanied. If there was ever a one man show, then this is it – on the biggest scale imaginable. It’s almost 10 months until the Australian leg kicks off, but tickets will be going on sale in just over a week. The hype is real, and we have no doubt that this is going to sell out in an instant.
