We have fond memories of seeing Phraohe Monch (plus Cypress Hill) way back in 2008 when Good Vibrations festival was still a thing, and now the New York legend will be returning for his first Australian visit in three years. After the split of Organized Konfusion, Phraoahe Monch cemented himself as one of hip-hop’s most proficient lyricists with his 1999 debut album Internal Affairs, which also spawned timeless club banger ‘Simon Says.’
Since then, he’s continued to gain praise for each one of his projects – especially his last record PTSD – while his collaborations span everyone from Mos Def to Justin Timberlake, as well as Australia’s own Hilltop Hoods and production legend M-Phazes. In September, Australia will be treated to a live hip-hop show without the gimmicks: Pharaohe will be running down the East Coast before playing three shows over in Western Australia, and given the breadth of his catalogue, we’ll be expecting plenty of heaters.
See the dates below and grab your tickets from 10:00am local time on Monday, June 26 right here. You can also click that link for all pre-sale information if you’re keen to get in quick. Prepare to witness one of the nicest on the mic in just a few month’s time:
