Known for its lush scenery and neighbourly lifestyle, it’s no wonder Liam’s Clips are loaded with enough coastal vibrance to crank your wanderlust to fever pitch. “I spent my childhood in a very peaceful and slow paced neighbourhood, but the coastal lifestyle has been calling me for a while, so I made the move [to Wembley Downs],” Liam says.
While Liam’s affinity for the beach is a throughline of his work- with rolling shots of white sands and drone clips of faraway villas, there’s also a creative flair that shines through just a bright. Even as a child, Liam remembers “constantly drawing, painting, and writing stories,” before picking up what would be his true creative outlet; his father’s DSLR camera.
“More than anything I loved making home movies with my brother and mates on whatever little camera we could find. I became obsessed and began shooting all the school parties, posting images to social media, and just really started pursuing a career in the creative industry,” Liam says.
With a youthful beachside aesthetic in mind and the creative passion to pursue it, Liam left his day job and began hustling in the videography scene. Flash-forward a few years and Liam’s work now traces him from Balinese getaways to the backstages of some of the world’s biggest musicians. “The last few years have been crazy… There have been some incredible experiences. I’ve just loved being able to work with people, meet so many unique personalities and learn and grow as an individual,” he says.
With such a diverse filmography, it’s no surprise that Liam’s inspirations stretch the broad scope of both the media landscape and life. Cryptocurrency, podcasting and marketing and Liam’s main side hustles, but he’s equally energised by the company he keeps, whether that be his close mates or creative collaborators. “Words, music, architecture and design have always been massive inspirations, but more than anything, [it’s the] people for sure…There is nothing better than good times with good people,” he says.
Liam’s celebration of ‘the good times’ is the drawcard of his work, from lazy days on the beach to high-energy moments in the mosh. Describing his style as “youthful nostalgia,” Liam aims to convey the freedom of young adulthood; a goal that he meets (and exceeds) expertly. “I want to really capture a sense of freedom and possibility…I want to continually be learning and growing individually [and] constantly be working on my craft…Stay inspired, work hard and dream as big as you can.”
