Well on its way to becoming one of Australia’s biggest and best festivals, the multi-day soiree saw Victorians and travellers alike congregate at Lardner Park. Starting off with steaming hot weather, the summer vibes soon gave way to a huge storm which turned the festival into a messy affair, but only seemed to encourage punters to get sillier.
Highlights included Chance The Rapper pulling a massive crowd, only to be topped by Sticky Fingers who delivered a massive set just after the colossal NYE countdown. With their future uncertain and a hiatus after their current festival run, this might have been the last time that Australian audiences get to witness the Inner-West crew in action, and the sing-a-longs were ones to remember.
Other mass sing-a-longs ensued when Bag Raiders dropped their immortal dance classic ‘Shooting Stars’, while What So Not also destroyed the stage and had the whole crowd swaying in a crowd of mobile phone lights. Special guests included Triple J Unearthed winner Gretta ray with Japanese wallpaper on stage, plus Woodes joining Luke Million. See you next year:
