Their most enduring and timeless shoe, Vans’ Authentic was first produced by the Van Doren brothers back in 1966, which means it’s probably older than your parents. Why has it remained relevant in the culture for over half a century? You’d have to chalk a lot of that down to versatility; the shoe can pretty much be slid into any outfit combo while also being functional and comfy – it’s the ultimate wingman and wardrobe staple.
