The Ba-skate-ball Jam was about to start, and we were excited to be part of this inclusive event celebrating the LGBTIQA+ community through sports and music. The exhibition basketball game between QSA members and special guests was intense, but the energy and enthusiasm of the crowd kept us all hyped up. Arguably, the main event was the halftime show by RollerFit – we marvelled at the artistic and rhythmic skaters as shredded away on the court to some funky disco beats.
After the game, we grabbed drinks by DASH Water and Heaps Normal, strapped on roller-skates and hit the floor. The groovy tunes and colourful lights got us all moving, and before we knew it, we were working up a sweat. Check out the highlights in the gallery above and video below:
