The venue was at capacity with sweat dripping off the walls, and everyone was turnt beyond belief as Dillon stormed through an eclectic set of house, dubstep, electro, dancehall and rap. Unsurprisingly, Flume’s ‘You & Me’ got a huge reception as well as Drake & Future’s omnipresent club heater ‘Jumpman’.
Sandwiched between his own charismatic banter – just see his Snapchat for more evidence – he also dropped his own hits like ‘Bruk Bruk’ and ‘Get Low’, with some hypercolour, random visuals that included a pair of Sketchers. We’re not complaning, shouts to Sketchers! Speaking of shoes, there was at least two shoeys that we witnessed after Dillon’s infamous stunt at Field Day. Also, he took time to slam the lockout laws and say ‘Fuck Mike Baird’ which was cool.
For anyone looking for a mid-week turn-up, Dillon Francis hits Oxford Art Factory this Wednesday. Need more convincing that you should attend? Just look at the gallery above and feel the sweat seeping through your laptop screen.
P.S. Dillon and I happened to be wearing the same shirt last night, we must be related.
