Sydney dance duo Flight Facilities brought the first instalment of their Decades Tour to Sydney Town Hall last night, fllling the esteemed Sydney venue to the brim. Filled with longtime fans and newcomers alike, the iconic Sydney staple was heaving from the minute the doors were opened. Strapping in for a mammoth five hour set with the decks planted firmly in the middle of the crowd, the acclaimed hitmakers traversed through each music decade with ease, playing beloved hits from the likes of ‘Love is in the Air” to ‘Take On Me’ to a entranced crowd.
A special moment came frequent Flight Facilities collaborators, Ric Rufio and Owl Eyes, stepped up to the plate for respective renditions of Elton John’s ‘Tiny Dancer’ and Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Rhiannon’, their laser sharp vocals sounding even better than the original tracks as they spurred attendees to scream at the top of their lungs. Understandably, by this point, music lovers of all ages and tastes were united under the Town Hall roof, making for one of the most wholesome gigs the Sydney legends have played to date.
