Well over two decades in their career, the Seattle rock favourites are still playing some mind-blowingly large venues across Australia in support of their album Concrete & Gold – their ninth full-length, and seventh to snatch the #1 spot on the local charts. Their colossal gig at ANZ Stadium gave us a little bit of everything, from sing-a-long classics like Learn To Fly to more recent hits like The Pretender, and even a short nod to Dave Grohl’s time as the drummer for Nirvana with a snippet of ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit.’
And having released his own beer with Australian brewers Young Henrys last week, Grohl continued his love for all things local by wearing an Oxford Art Factory shirt onstage. What a legend! See the Foo Fighters in action:
