Splendour’s day two forecast predicted clearer skies and thunderous sets from The Strokes and The Jungle Giants, among others…

After the shock cancellation of day one, spirits remained high at Splendour in the Grass yesterday, as festival-goers revelled in clearer weather and (slightly) drier campgrounds. Unleashing the pent-up dance moves from the day prior, pundits were treated to a suite of starry sets, as The Jungle Giants kicked it all off with a morning show at the packed-out Amphitheatre stage.

Elsewhere, Splendour welcomed day two welcomed homegrown talent in the likes of The Chats, Methyl Ethel, Stella Donnelly and Chillinit, who readied audiences for Friday headliners Violent Soho, Jack Harlow and Glass Animals. By the day’s end, it was New York rock band The Strokes who saw pundits off, shutting down the festival with a thunderous performance until midnight.

With even clearer skies forecasted for day three, it looks as if Splendour is just getting started. Check out the gallery above for all the best bits from Splendour day two, and scroll down for more info and credits.
