Having spent the past few days talking to artists and punters on the ground at SXSW Sydney, there was one band that kept getting mentioned: Japan’s Otoboke Beaver. Last night the legendary punk quartet took to the stage at the House Of Vans at UTS Underground sandwiched between Cherry Chola, Too Birds, SIXSAIDIT, and breakout UK rapper Songer. Safe to say the Japanese outfit lived up to the hype with the performance matching, if not exceeding, the elevated expectatoins.
