Sure enough, in the late afternoon, two-thirds of Migos rolled down the stairs and into the intimate space, greeting fans who had been waiting for hours amongst the exclusive merchandise. Offset and Takeoff took time to greet fans, sing along to their biggest hits and of course, light up a quick joint before bouncing.
Later that evening, all three members of Migos made it onstage at Hordern Pavilion after DJ Durel spun some heaters, getting the All Ages crowd rumbling on the dancefloor and pogo moshing in unison. Oh yeah, they also got introduced via a DJ Khaled video clip, very slick.
Despite the notable omission of their signature ode to Medusa, ‘Versace,’ the trio tore through all of their chanting trap anthems: ‘Fight Night,’ ‘T Shirt,’ ‘Hannah Montana’ and ‘Slippery’ all had the sizeable venue echoing the hooks with enthusiasm.
Unsurprisingly, it was the meme-heavy ‘Bad & Boujee’ which had the biggest reaction of the night, with Migos leaving the crowd covered in confetti and ‘SKRRRT’ ad-libs ringing in their ear. Australia may be a long way from Atlanta, but Migos delivered plenty of Southern flavour on their debut visit, and we’re sure that many will be awaiting their return:
