Our show “Of Mortals and Marble” explores the role of art in immortalising “youth”. Inspired by John Keats’ poem “Ode On A Grecian Urn”, Bennett and Suteja explore themes of rebellion, sin and lust associated with youth, and the obsession we have had throughout time with documenting and preserving this period of our lives. As well as the inherent paradox in attempting to preserve this.
