Was a sentiment shared far and wide amongst adherents of the genre last night, international export What So Not announcing a special DNB DJ set yesterday upon touching back down in Australia. Taking place at the hallowed Club 77, punters from all across Sydney hurried down to the Surry Hills establishment, a street-spanning line occurring before doors even opened.
And of course, it was well worth it, What So Not coming through at the stroke of midnight with two hours of drum & bass, hardcore and everything in between as he filled Club 77 to its literal brim. Attendees were also treated to not only a rendition of his latest hit with Oliver Tree and Killer Mike, ‘Mr. Regular’, but a slew of unreleased tracks from his upcoming album Anomaly. To top things off, frequent WSN collaborator and rising rapper Phi11a jumped on the mic, performing his upcoming collab with the producer for the raving 77 crowd.
It was definitely a surprising, but welcome change up to the usual Tuesday night routine. But don’t just take our word for it, get caught up via the gallery above:
