Victoria’s Boom Gallery launched three artist exhibitions over the weekend, filling-out their halls with the works of James Price, Peta Armstrong and Ellie Malin. The inner-west gallery cut the ribbon on the new exhibitions last Thursday (August 18) as part of a month-long showcase which wraps up next month. Seltzers were the drink of choice at the official opening, with pastels of Pals blending in with the pieces adorning the walls.
James Price, who’s exhibition is titled ‘It Only Rains Confetti In My Mind’, describes his work as a “hallucinogenic postcard from [his] psyche,’ while Peta Armstrong’s ‘Parlour Games’ features handmade ceramics inspired by the artist’s grandmother. Rounding out the trio, Ellie Malin’s ‘Night Marigold’ seeks “to emulate the sensation we experience in the natural world.”
Be sure to get a glimpse of the three showcases before they close their curtains on September 11, and head to Boom Gallery’s website here for all the details.
