There was 50 candles on PUMA Suede’s cake last night for its birthday, and we couldn’t help but get amongst the celebrations for the iconic piece of footwear. Joined by an abundance of influencers, media and industry guests, we were treated to music from Princi, DJ Atro, Shantan Wantan Ichiban, Tommy Codling and Mowgli May – which goes to show that even 50-year-olds can throw banging parties.
Snacking on some tasty burgers from Boom Box and a couple of Coors Lights, we got a look at the visuals from PUMA’s ‘Future History’ campaign, which looks at artists, musicians and creatives who they believe will make history in the future. It’s an assembly of a powerful crew of inspirational talent that includes Billy Davis and his mentor Andrew De Silva of iconic Melbourne R&B group CDB, singer/songwriter Kaiit and her manager Momo who is one half of seminal Australian hip-hop group Diafrix, artist Aki Yaguchi and Archibald Prize finalist Melissa Grisancich.
Is the gallery above giving you some serious FOMO Melbourne? Don’t sweat it, the PUMA Suede party is rolling into 524 Flinders St on October 18th – just head here to register and get your invite.
