Party & Bullshit
Words by Harry Webber October 27, 2025

RUSH is going to change the course of Sydney nightlife one party at a time.

It’s not often you go to an event that feels nostalgic and futuristic at the same time, but that was the vibe last night at the launch of RUSH, a brand new Sydney dance party company.

Taking over every inch of the Plaza Hotel, the night felt like the city’s pulse had finally been turned back up. From the basement to the theatre, the sound never stopped. Black Loops delivered a world-class set that had the crowd completely locked in, while Cassette, Jordan Brando, Elijah Something, Little Fritter and OOTS each brought their own flavour. The homegrown lineup didn’t miss a beat either, with Dayzzi, Daug, Eva Charley, Felix b2b Shing, Joss, Lily FM, Maloney, Mimi J, Schooner and Zuko turning every corner of the venue into a dance floor.

The energy was relentless: sweaty, loud and beautifully unpolished in the way only Sydney can be when it’s really on. It felt like a time warp back to the pre-lockout golden era, when weekends blurred together and the only rule was to keep dancing.
