Party & Bullshit

West Coast music fans soaked up the seabreeze amongst the lush, pine-tree encircled grounds pf Fremantle’s The Esplanade park and surrounding streets, for the last show of the Laneway tour. Camp Cope played their first West Coast show to an eager audience, with new Aussie talents Tash Sultana and A.B. Original bringing big energy to the day. A dark horse fave came by way of Floating Points’s rock-infused electronic, sunset set and accompanying visual spectacular – only rivalled by Tycho’s awesome visuals. And Fremantle proved a huge homecoming for world-dominating superstars Tame Impala, the Laneway headliners who originally hail from Freo. “I truly believe this is Australia’s best festival,” said Kevin Parker, as the band delivered the last set of what’s been an truly epic Laneway tour.
