Party & Bullshit

Yesterday, we embarked on the short journey from Sydney to our second home in Newcastle for This That festival, making for a day adventure filled with beats, bangers and gourmet sausages.

Given that This That were the first party to announce the arrival of ScHoolBoy Q in Australia, it’s no surprise that the TDE emcee drew the biggest crowd of the day, including plenty of bucket hat enthusiasts who chanted along to belters like ‘That Part’ and seasoned crowd pleaser ‘Man of the Year’.

Off the back of their recently-released Elliphant collaboration ‘Stranger’ – which is bound to be a summer anthem in all aspects – Peking Duk once again proved why they’re the masters of feel-good festival sets, while SAFIA’s live electronic show went down a treat a sunset.

A techno stage kicked up the tempo and wonderful weirdos with people dressed in all gold outfits and walking on stilts, while the beachside location showed Newcastle in all of its natural glory.
