Summer Bright Lager’s Summer Sessions is well and truly underway, with Middle Kids & Cub Sport hitting Wollongong and Newcastle last weekend on the opening dates. We headed along with the crew to capture all the onstage and behind-the-scenes action, jumping on board the tour bus for the short road trip south from Sydney, and then back up the coast.
On the way to Wollongong, we watched hang-gliders at Stanwell Tops glide poetically from the faultless sky, before jumping onstage to a packed house at Towradgi Beach Hotel. It was a similar story in Newcastle, with capacity crowds gathering at The Cambridge Hotel – but not before we hit Newcastle Markets for some falafels and Mereweather beach to pat other people’s dogs.
