Researchers and Scientists at the University of Wollongong have found the ‘next generation condom’. The new material offers a skin-like feel, is self-lubricating, biodegradable and did we mention Viagra dispensing?!

Using a hygrodel – a flexible and strong material – the team have found a new substance to replace latex, that could be used to create the ‘ultimate condom’. The innovative project was funded by a $100,000 grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation which tasked scientists across the globe with the mission to deflate the stigma that condoms make sex less pleasurable. There are way too many stock images we could use right now. But the research was also to “lead to substantial benefits for global health, both in terms of reducing the incidence of unplanned pregnancies and in prevention of infection with HIV or other STIs.”

Good news for everyone involved, really.
