Got a badass name too…

Continuing to push its dominance over the podcast realm, Spotify has announced a new original series with none other than rock legend Bruce Springsteen and former President Barack Obama. Aptly named Renegades: Born In The USA (whoever thought of that name deserves a pay rise), the program is set to see the two American icons discuss “their lives, music, and enduring love of America — despite all its challenges,” a multi-faceted conversation that will cover “race, fatherhood, marriage, and the state of America.”

The news comes hot on the heels of former First Lady Michelle Obama’s The Michelle Obama Podcast debuting on Spotify last summer and consequently becoming the biggest Spotify Original show in history. So no doubt she’ll have some tips for the former Pres down the line.

It seems the two shows fall under a wider umbrella however, with the Obama’s production company negotiating a deal with Spotify in 2019 that would allow the former First Couple to create shows for solely for Spotify.
