There’s no doubt that Tony Hawk games were a constant in a lot of our childhoods, from Tony Hawk’s Underground to Project 8. They were incredible, and really made you feel like you were a pro skater, when in reality you couldn’t even ollie. Now, we’re going to get to relive those beautiful childhood memories, as Vicarious Visions are remastering Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, slated for a September 4 release.
The re-releases will include updated graphics, brand new tricks, additional gameplay features and a couple of those killer tracks such as ‘Superman’ by Goldfinger, that helped define the old Tony Hawk games.
The create-a-park and create-a-skater modes are also making a comeback, but with more customisation. And don’t worry, odds are there won’t be any micro transactions, with Vicarious Visions stating “Everything that you see at launch is going to be unlocked with gameplay. We’re not planning on having monetization at launch”.
Safe to say we’re extremely keen for this one, check out the trailer and get ready to relive your childhoods like never before…
