Chance The Rapper playing a werewolf pizza delivery guy? Why not.

We all know the logical step from R&B stardom is to take up an acting gig in a film that is centered around a pizza store that is the gateway to hell. Which is why it makes perfect sense for us to be watching a trailer horror/comedy Slice, that features Chance The Rapper as a werewolf pizza guy named Dax.

Directed by Austin Vesely, who has been a long-time collaborator with the rapper, Slice follows the story of Dax Lycander, a former chinese-food deliverer who is suspected of committing a brutal murder and is on a quest to clear his name. It’s looking like it will be equal parts scary and silly and has a synth-heavy Stranger Things vibe, just a little more ridiculous.

You can guarantee there’ll be plenty of laughs with a cheery supporting cast that includes Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Hannibal Buress (Broad City), and Zazie Beetz (Atlanta, Deadpool 2) and more. No word on a release date, but the people at A24 say Slice is coming soon, so stay tuned.
