Be careful who you pick on in high school folks…

As the saying goes, ‘Karma’s a bitch’, and it’s safe to say The Morning Hustle host Lore’l was faced with that harsh realisation this past weekend while she was interviewing man of the moment, Michael B. Jordan, at the Creed 3 premiere. You’d expect it to be a mundane, somewhat forgettable encounter between the star and the reporter, but it turns out the former teased MBJ throughout high school, and, well, old mate quickly made it clear he hasn’t at all forgotten it.

After trying to gain some clout by telling viewers she went to school with the leading man, MBJ quickly interjected, sarcastically asking, “I was the corny kid, right?” Obviously hot under the collar, the reporter replied. “I did not say that! I was misquoted, for sure.” However, the first-time director wasn’t having it, quipping in response, “I heard it. I heard it. It’s all good. What’s up?”

Then ensues a slightly awkward interview, with MBJ managing to act like a total professional while making it clear he had much better things to do, such as goof off with co-star Johnathan Majors mid-question. It ultimately culminates with Lore’l telling Jordan “You’re not corny anymore” as he walked off, which literally contradicts her whole argument stating that she was misquoted.

The misquote in question that she’s calling back to is in reference to a recent podcast appearance, where she admitted that she and numerous others would make fun of the Creed star, explaining, “We teased him all the damn time because his name was Michael Jordan. Let’s start there, and he was no Michael Jordan. And he also would come to school with a headshot. We lived in Newark, that’s the hood. We would make fun of him like, ‘What you gonna do with your stupid headshot!?’ And now look at him!”

So far the clip has amassed over 600,000 views on YouTube, with countless videos being made about it in response. Regardless, it’s definitely the best possible form of revenge on Jordan’s part. Check out the full interview above, along with the trailer for Creed 3 below.
