Between Disney, (Queen) Beyoncé and the effortlessly affable Donald Glover, rest assured those childhood memories are in good hands. At least that’s what early reviews are saying.

With opening day just six sleeps away, hype around The Lion King is reaching fever pitch, and as you’d expect, Disney’s live action Simba is flying through his press run ahead of a highly anticipated return to Australian shores for Splendour In The Grass next week. Amidst that press run, Donald Glover took the time to drop by Kimmel’s late night show in what half looks like he lost a bet and half looks like an outfit he knows he’s cool enough to ironically get away with. Another reason we believe he’s a perfect fit for the role of Simba, he’s got that Hakuna Matata energy in spades.

In the talk segment, Glover keeps it real chatting about all things Lion King (and not wanting to lay vocals in the same booth as Beyoncé).
