Three years after helming the critically-acclaimed murder mystery, Knives Out, director Rian Johnson is back with the highly anticipated sequel, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. And today we’ve gotten the star-studded trailer for the upcoming epic, and despite the already high hopes we had for it, it looks like our expectations have been surpassed.
Starring Daniel Craig in the role of detective Benoit Blanc, the film follows the leading man as he ventures to a billionaire’s island (played by Edward Norton), who claims, “I’ve invited you all to my island because tonight, a murder will be committed. My murder.” From there, the trailer picks up the pace, with the seemingly light-hearted party game quickly turning deadly as Norton ends up being murdered, as Craig’s Blanc proclaims that, “For at least one person, this is not a game.”
Joining Craig and Norton is a troupe of A-listers, with Hollywood heavyweights such as Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn and more all portraying potential suspects in the investigation. Similarly to the 2019 entry in the saga, all stars serve up stellar performances that balance humour and drama. But above all, together they keep you guessing as to who the real killer is throughout the trailer’s three minute runtime. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is out in theatres on November 23rd, with it landing on Netflix the month after. Check out the full trailer below.
