If you’re too young to remember, let me briefly fill you in. There was once a time in cinema when Tim Burton could make a film starring Winona Ryder and Johnny Depp about a Frankenstein-like man who has scissors for hands trying to fit in a local high school. It was the ‘90s and we were okay with it. So much so that the film grossed $US86 million at the box office.
Now Cadillac have revived the iconic character, gifting it to the bladeridden hands of Timothée Chalamet who plays Edward Scissorhands’ son, Edgar Scissorhands in the new commercial. Of course, nothing is going right for Edgar, whose spikey hands seem to be getting in the way of everything… except his driving Cadillac’s hands-free electric vehicle.
