While Game Of Thrones may be coming to an end, one romance spawned from the cult series looks to blossom well into the future.
Kit Harington & Rose Leslie – who first met on the Game Of Thrones set as fictional love interests Jon Snow & Ygritte – have flipped the script by getting engaged IRL, five years after their first encounter. According to a source quoted by The Sun, “They’re yet to set a date, but told friends and family last week that they’ve got engaged.”
“Kit’s known for ages he’s wanted to marry Rose but he wanted them to get a house and settle down a bit first. After moving in together in January he felt it was the right time to take the next step,” they continued.
And if you really feel you heart warming on this Wednesday morning, then get a load of this: Harrington previously spoke to Vogue Italia about the early romance while filming in Iceland, saying “the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love.”
“If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it’s becomes very easy to fall in love,” he continued.
