The prequel we’ve all been waiting for…

Finally David Chase’s Many Saints of Newark is upon us. And for those of us diehard Sopranos fans we’ve had just enough time to go back and rewatch the entire series ahead of its release. Naturally, our eagerness to see how Michael Gandolfini plays his father’s iconic role, as well as the rise of the much-mythologised Dicky Moltisanti, is peaking right now.

Set in 1976, the prequel follows a young Tony Soprano “growing up in one of the most tumultuous eras in Newark’s history, becoming a man just as rival gangsters begin to rise up and challenge the all-powerful DiMeo crime family’s hold over the increasingly race-torn city.”

Safe to say we’ve watched the trailer more times than is really necessary:
