You might have heard we’ve been working on a project called In Pieces…

If you haven’t, here’s a little run down: In Pieces is a fundraising venture that is destigmatising the way suicide is portrayed in society while collecting money for the Chumpy Pullin Foundation to be used for suicide support initiatives.

Over the past three months, Aussie tattooer Gummy Johnston and the team have tattooed around 250 people with individual puzzle pieces that form part of a larger work; Gummy’s interpretation of Battle Royale. This symbolises the idea that by coming together, people impacted by suicide can become whole again.

Ambassadors such as Ellidy Pullin, Jack Freestone, Vaughn Blakey, Jimmy2Sox of Flight Facilities, Blake Johnston, Zeppelin Hamilton and more have #SkinInTheGame and have been tattooed as part of the project too. The boys from Inspired Unemployed, Alfred’s Apartment, Connor Watson and members of the LWA team have also received their pieces, with Vans, Better Beer, Johnston Advisory, Fender, Epøkhe, and Traeger joining us as sponsors.

So far we’ve raised over $75K!

Now, LWA and In Pieces are hosting a special gala event at the ivy Ballroom in Sydney on November 10th to bring people together, share stories and connect. The event will also feature:

– Live DJ set by Jimmy2Sox and performances from Zeppelin Hamilton and other special guests.
– Silent auction of artworks by some of Australia’s leading contemporary artists, including Otis Carey, James Drinkwater & Aaron Kinnane.
– Raffles, fundraising activities & merchandise are available on the night.
– Food from world-class chefs from around the country
– Free drinks
