Following five years of money-laundering schemes and underworld dealings, Netflix series Ozark is finally coming to an end…

And today we’ve got our first look at the final episodes of the series, along with an official release date. The teaser, which stands at just over a minute long, is centred on lead character Ruth Langmore (played by Julia Gardner) who’s understandably in pieces following the murders of Wyatt and Darlene. Driving in the car with a pistol beside her, Ruth’s voice can be heard narrating “My childhood traumas are not like yours. You see, I’m a curse Langmore. Long inured to violence and death, and in the case of a Langmore, not soon enough.”

Between her words, we get a couple of shots of the key players of the show, all before a quick throwback to the mid-season finale with Ruth pointing a rifle at Marty and Wendy Byrde (played by Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, respectively). The trailer then quickly concludes, with the words “The end arrives sooner than you think” appearing on screen.

It definitely looks like a tonne of shit is going down this season, but according to showrunner Chris Mundy, it’ll all be in the name of closure, with the writer explaining, “I always want closure. I don’t want to feel messed with. I want to feel like, ‘OK, that was the end.’ So, hopefully, people will feel closure by the end — whether they like it or not, I don’t know.”

The final seven episodes of Ozark season 4 premiere on April 29th on Netflix. Peep the full teaser above.
