We had five minutes to squeeze a bit of info out of Noah Centineo, and he did not dissappoint.

How much can you gleam from someone in five mins? Well, there were whispers that Noah Centineo might be one of the biggest legend in the business, and those rumours turned out to be pretty damn true. The actor, who will be starring as Ken in the new Street Fighter movie spent a bunch of time in Australia making the film, and seemingly had the time of his life enjoying hot boy walks (more on this below) and saunaing while shooting for the iconic game-turned-film.

NOAH: Harry, we got questions. What the hell happened to Andy?

Andy? Well, it’s a funny story because everyone thinks it’s about Andy Irons, the surfer, but it was actually a chapter. This is going back to DVDs. There was a DVD on Jean-Michel Basquiat, the painter, and one of the chapters on the DVD was-

Andy Warhol.

… Life Without Andy.

Okay. This is good. Thank God we know. We were concerned about Andy.

Yeah, he’s okay. He’s okay… You were in Australia for filming for six months. What were some of the things you liked about being here?

I like the saunas and cold plunges. I like the third-rate plastic surgery. No, I’m just kidding. Geez, everybody calm down. I think actually what I really like is the hot boy walks that everybody goes on.

Sydney specifically, while I was there, I noticed, and I think it kind of permeates throughout Australia, there’s this really good lifestyle and healthy lifestyle culture. People get up before God here and go for walks and have their coffees.

That’s actually something that was really cool. Where I’m from, saunas and cold plunges, you’re siphoned off and you’re in isolation. It’s not communal. But here in Australia, you go and it’s kind of like a hangout space for everyone. I don’t know. It’s a cool thing to build community around.

Yeah. I guess it’s just chucking everyone in there. In the dirty spa water. It depends on how you look at it.

And everybody can sweat together. It’s great. It was cool, especially for a lot of us that were doing the training and stuff for the six weeks of prep before Street Fighter. We could all go to these places together and just kick it for a couple of hours and recover. It was great. It was lovely.

I’m going to go straight to Ken and his karaoke. He sings a bit of karaoke in this trailer-

Oh no, I’m sorry. I’m sorry in advance. I’m so bad. I’m not a singer at all.

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

Oh, ‘What’s Up?’ by 4 Non Blondes, dude. Always. Always and forever until this movie comes out.

Was there a stunt or a move that you pulled off during filming that you were particularly proud of? Because I know you put in six weeks of training just to get there.

I mean, dude, everything that’s really cool that was done was done by my stunt double Anis. He’s an absolute monster. Or Errol. Errol did a lot of the wire work stuff. So if I got ripped back, I didn’t. They did.

There were moments where you’re actually doing jump spin kicks and all of these different things, and that felt cool because I was able to actually do them some of the time, and some of them even made it into the film. So I think overall I’m just happy I didn’t get seriously injured while doing it.

And you have a fight scene with 50 Cent. What was it like working with him? And what is your GOAT 50 Cent song?

He’s a G, dude. It was awesome. In da Club by 50 Cent’s definitely my go-to. The dude’s a beast. He got into such good shape for this movie. Yeah, 10 out of 10 experience. We call it his movie. He was there for a month. 50 Cent could be doing a lot of things, very busy guy, and he was in Sydney for an entire month. So Street Fighter’s 50’s movie.

In what ways are you and Ken similar, do you think, in terms of personality?

Oof. Narcissists, braggadocios, self-obsessed, ripped. We’re sexy. Both of us are sexy.

Out of the big ensemble cast, who do you think is the most likely to win in a real fight?

Vidyut, who plays Dhalsim.

Vidyut? I would’ve assumed you would say Volkanovski. We’re an Australian outlet. I don’t want to have to remind you.

I know, I know. You’re right. He lives on a farm. He’s a monster as well. I don’t know, I might still pick Vidyut. This guy’s a monster. He’s like a thousand generations deep in monkhood and fighting styles from India, so he’s formidable…
