The legendary filmmaker has some goodies in store for the Newy leg of his Surf Talk & Jam tour.

Has there been a better time to be a Novocastrian – besides the ‘97 and ‘01 grand finals which mark the twin peaks of Newy pride – than right now? The Steel City is once again buzzing with the return of the world’s best surfers for a WSL event, and with that comes a bunch of special events including Jack McCoy’s Surf Talk & Jam event.

Not only will he be swapping stories with the great Occy and Dion Agius, but he’ll also be premiering GLOBE X Dion’s new flick Dark Hollow and McCoy’s new video with hometown hero Craig Anderson. “I was asked by this artist if I’d be interested in creating an extreme surfing clip to the song and when I heard it I immediately visualised its marriage with Craig’s surfing,” McCoy says of the collab. “He’s one of, if not the surfer I get most jazzed watching today.”
