We’re big fans of chicken strips, chicken nuggets and chicken drumsticks, especially when they’re served with a side of coleslaw and a moist towelette. However, Colonel Sanders’ team have definitely caused an uproar on their latest social media promotion, advertising a new Hot & Spicy range hitting fast-food menus next week.
In the never-ending quest for viral content and strong online banter, there’s a thin line before comedy just gets too crude. And KFC definitely may have slightly overstepped that line with this picture uploaded to Twitter earlier this morning. Featuring a woman reaching down into a man’s crotch area and some heavy pixelation going on, we don’t have to join the dots for you:
The Tweet has since been deleted, but alas, it’s 2016: It’s been screenshotted and is set to be reposted from now until the end of time. In a statement to News.com.au, KFC Australia said: “This was a genuine tweet to launch KFC’s new Hot & Spicy chicken products next week. It was not intended to offend and we’ve removed the image.”
We don’t know if three piece feeds will ever be the same. Handjobs and fried chicken: A mismatch made in social media hell.
