In an unexpected turn of events, the Michael Jordan documentary The Last Dance has now overtaken Tiger King as the most popular documentary on Netflix, and is now the most popular documentary in the world. According to Parrot Analytics, it’s actually in the top 20 programs in the world right now which is huge considering the amount of competition out there.

According to Bloomberg, docos have seen a huge increase in the past couple weeks with the increase in self-isolation and quarantine. Sports documentaries seem to be doing the best, their demand perhaps fueled by the lack of sport in the world right now.

Netflix currently holds the rights to Tiger King as well as The Last Dance, thus garnering them millions of viewers and streams with two of the hottest commodities in the streaming world right now.
