Titled M3GAN, the latest offering from the Aussie filmmaker is centred around an android doll named M3GAN, who’s programmed to be the best friend and caretaker of 8-year-old orphan, Cady. However, things turn sideways as M3GAN continues to grow more and more bonded to her human counterpart, and in a shocking, totally unforeseen turn of events (not really though), she goes batshit crazy and starts killing everyone.

It sounds creepy enough, but the trailer dials up the chills by tenfold, with the two-and-a-half minute clip following the doll’s descent into villainy and her affinity for murdering everyone who comes between her and Cady.

Although we’re treated to plenty of scenes of M3GAN undertaking such acts, the most terrifying part is undoubtedly her attempt at dancing as she makes quick work of her victims. Add the fact that its juxtaposed with an anxiety-inducing score, and it’s straight up unnerving to say the least. M3GAN hits cinemas on January 12th. For now, check out the full trailer below.
