After the year of production hell that has been 2020, TV and film productions are starting to find their feet. And it’s all happening at once, with Ozark being the latest series to confirm a return to production. Speaking to IndieWire, series lead Jason Bateman didn’t hold back in regards to the future of the show, stating that “We’re going to start filming 9 November”.
Adding on, he said “Everything is moving well toward that, and we’re very confident in the guidelines and protocols we’re going to be following. We’ve got tons of consultants, and we’re learning a lot from other productions.” The update comes a month after Netflix broke the news that the next season would be the “fourth and final season, split across two parts – each of 7 episodes.”

Speaking on the return to production, a Netflix spokesperson said “Upon approvals from our partners and the implementation of safety required in this new environment, we are targeting a November start date.” So no doubt the production experience will definitely be just a bit different for Bateman and his co-stars this time around, but regardless, we’re keen af for the new season of shenanigans from our favourite delinquents. Fingers crossed we get these new episodes ASAP.
