Adult actress August Ames has passed away at 23 years of age.

The news has been confirmed by The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s office and her husband Kevin Moore. “She was the kindest person I ever knew and she meant the world to me,” he said. “Please leave this as a private family matter in this difficult time.”

Since emerging in 2013, the Canadian star appeared in over 270 X-rated flicks, and was also up for three nominations at the upcoming Adult Video News awards to be held in January, including Female Performer of the Year, Best Three-Way Sex Scene (Girl/Girl/Boy), and Best Group Sex Scene.

Ames passed away in Camarillo, California. The cause of death is unknown at the time of writing, but media outlets are reporting that there was no foul play involved.
