Less than one week out from it’s long-awaited return, crown jewel of Adult Swim, Rick and Morty, has continued to drum up anticipation for its new season, unveiling a new Wormageddon installation in Sydney.
Placed in Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens on Bennelong lawn just this morning, the fixture features Birdperson facing #wormageddon who, if you’re not familiar with the show, is your standard freak alien who’s hellbent on taking over the planet. It gives another insight into what awaits in the new batch of episodes, especially considering the chaotic season five finale which saw Evil Morty unveil a new Earth before jumping into a portal.
The Sydney iteration of Wormageddon is the latest instalment of the “immersive adventure” Adult Swim has been curating across the globe, with other countries like Brazil, The Netherlands, Canada and more all getting their own version of the statue.

It’s safe to say, however, that they’ve saved the best for last with the Sydney chapter (although we might be biased). Check it out above, along with the trailer for Rick and Morty Season Six below.
